Design and Build Quality :

The overall design and build quality of the smartphone is good according to price point. On front there is 2MP fixed focus camera, Earpiece, LED Notification Light embedded within Earpiece. LED notification light supports two colour Red and Green, Red while charging and led will blink in green colour if there is any notification. On the front there is also 4.7-inch qHD(960X540 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Due to Gorilla Glass the display will barely get any scratches. There are also three touch capacitive buttons which don’t support backlit.

On backside there is 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash, Micromax logo and Speaker Grill. The camera is little bit out from the back cover so it can easily get scratches. On the right side there are volume rocker keys and power on/off or wake up key. There is nothing on the left side of the smartphone. On the top there is 3.5mm audio jack. At bottom there is microphone and Micro-USB 2.0 port for data syncing and charging. Under the hood there are two SIM slots, only SIM one supports 3G and second supports only 2G. There is also microSD card slot which supports microSD card slots upto 32GB, there is also 2000 mAh non-removable battery under the hood.

On all the fours sides of the smartphone there is mettalic finish which is of Gold colour in white colour variant and of Silver Colour on Black Colour variant. However it looks like metal but in actual it is plastic. The back cover of the handset has matte finish and company has used cheap quality of plastic for back cover, i used the smartphone for almost 8 days and the white back cover was turned into yellow so it will be better to choose black colour variant.

Software :

The handset is running on Android 5.0(Lollipop) OS but it is not confirmed whether it will get any update in future or not. Micromax didn’t make much changes to the OS so it will give you stock Android experience. The overall user interface is really smooth. But some apps not working properly. I tried to run CPU-Z but every time i open it handset is rebooting automatically. 1. ” led will blink in green colour if there is any notification”..LED is not blinking at all. Only red colour is coming while charging and no other colour. Can you confirm?
